Note for Warranty Conditions & Responsibility

The limited warranty gives specific legal rights to the purchaser of the ELAG® product. The legal rights can vary depending on the country of purchase. In accordance to EC law the warranty liability resides under the responsibility of ELAG’s foreign customer/importer. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the appliance. A warranty applies if the product proves defective by reason of improper workmanship or material defects. In case of a warranty claim, the warranty period is depending on whether the appliance is used commercial or in a private household. Please ask your dealer for the warranty period applying in the country of purchase. During the warranty time, the local service organization will repair or, at its decision, exchange the product without charging for parts and labor.

The limited warranty does in general not apply:

  1. If the product suffers damage on purpose or by accident, improper use, other usage than recommended in the User’s Manual, wrong connection to the power supply, in case of storm damage, fire, water, or acts of God.
  2. If the product has been technically modified or repaired by anyone other than ELAG® or one of its authorized dealers or technical service stations.

The warranty covers only damages of the appliance and its components. Breakage of the ceramic glass is generally excluded from the warranty. Damages of the power supply the appliance is attached to and/ or any furniture, equipment and buildings which in contact with, or near the appliance, are generally excluded from the warranty. Charges from any third parties which are not authorized to repair or service the appliance will not be accepted. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, the dealer/importer will only accept the herein above mentioned damages. Other agreements by any third party or claims, other than the above mentioned or claims that exceed the applying warranty period are declared invalid. Under no circumstances shall ELAG® be liable for any loss or damage, direct, consequential or incidental, arising out of the use of or inability to use the appliance. In order to obtain warranty rights, the owner of the appliance must provide evidence of purchase date through the original invoice. Please store the original package of the product as long the warranty period applies. This will be helpful in case the appliance has to be shipped to a service station or back to the dealer/importer of the product.

Additional information on the final procedure of warranty claims, on how to obtain accessories and service parts can be obtained from the dealer of purchase or from the manufacturer.
